Job summary

The Tides Inn, a Tanzerra Resorts waterfront luxury property in Irvington, Virginia, seeks a Server to deliver elevated, seamless dining experiences. You will provide attentive, personalized service during each shift, demonstrate strong menu knowledge, and engage guests with Chesapeake storytelling to reflect the resort’s signature hospitality.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in upscale dining, polished communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in upscale or fine dining service.
• Strong communication skills with a polished and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of elevated service standards, table etiquette, and dining room operations.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift and carry trays or equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this role.
• Supports the Food & Beverage team in delivering refined, attentive service that ensures guests feel welcomed, valued, and well cared for.
• Guides guests through menu offerings with confidence, including local ingredients, seasonal dishes, and Chesapeake-inspired culinary stories.
• Delivers food and beverages with accuracy, professionalism, and proper service etiquette across all FOH positions and service responsibilities.
• Anticipates guest needs by refilling beverages, clearing plates, resetting tables, and maintaining smooth service flow.
• Assists with wine, coffee, and beverage service in accordance with training and established standards across service roles.
• Represents the Tides Inn brand through warm, thoughtful, and professional guest interactions across all Front of House roles.
