Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous fine-dining or luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• Professional, polished presence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; clear phone etiquette.
• Strong multitasking and time management in fast-paced environment.
• Impeccable attention to detail and calm under pressure.
• Reservation systems familiarity (OpenTable) and basic POS preferred.
• Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts; part-time.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs; assist guests with accessibility needs.

Responsibilities

• Guest Greeting & Farewell: Offer a sincere, personalized welcome and warm send-off.
• Reservations & Pacing: Oversee the book, waitlist, and arrival cadence.
• Seating Strategy: Assign tables thoughtfully and communicate preferences.
• Phone, Email & Walk-In Management: Answer calls promptly and provide accurate wait quotes.
• Pre-Shift Coordination: Review cover counts, VIPs, large parties, and special occasions.
• Service Flow Support: Time arrivals with order fire capacity; coordinate with staff.
• Guest Recovery Support: Escalate concerns to a manager quickly and follow up.
• Standards & Ambience: Maintain host stand, menus, and entryway; monitor ambience.
• Accessibility & Special Requests: Anticipate accommodations and relay needs.
• Data & Notes: Capture guest preferences and key learnings for future visits.
• End-of-Night Tasks: Reconcile the book and prepare for next service.
