Job summary

Ten Five Hospitality’s Oak Room in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Host to create a warm guest experience, manage seating, and oversee reservation flow. The ideal candidate will greet guests, escort to tables, maintain guest profiles, and handle reservation inquiries with a professional demeanor.

We value six months of restaurant or hotel experience, strong communication, teamwork, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Six months minimum restaurant or hotel experience.
• Excellent listener and communicator.
• Able to focus on guest interaction and multitask.
• Team player with a proactive mindset.
• Familiarity with seating management systems (Resy/SevenRooms) preferred.
• Experience answering phones in a reservation system.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression.
• Escort guests to assigned table or bar seating, ensuring proper setup.
• Update and maintain guest profiles with preferences and repeat guest notes.
• Answer reservation inquiries by phone and through channels.
• Monitor reservation books and provide accurate wait times.
• Maintain host stand, entrance, and menus in a clean, organized state.
