FAIRMONT in New Orleans seeks a dedicated hospitality professional to support Delmonico Steakhouse service. This role focuses on delivering attentive, personalized service, greeting guests warmly, and ensuring correct food delivery and presentation in a luxury setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of cleanliness, knowledge of menu items, and collaboration with all departments to ensure seamless experiences. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Previous fine-dining or luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain a professional and polished demeanor in a high-end dining environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional guest service.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate needs and demonstrate a sense of urgency while maintaining composure.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities during busy service periods.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and transport food, dishes, glassware, and service equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of all departmental policies, service procedures, standards, and Delmonico Steakhouse service expectations.
• Support Servers and Front of House team in delivering attentive, efficient, and personalized service.
• Anticipate guest and service team needs and respond promptly and professionally.
• Greet and acknowledge guests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.
• Assist with delivery and presentation of food and beverages to guest tables.
• Ensure food is delivered to the correct table and assist with dish placement and clearing.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and ingredients to answer guest questions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, stations, and work areas.
• Clear and reset tables promptly while minimizing disruption.
• Replenish water, bread service, silverware, glassware, napkins, condiments, etc.
• Assist with pre/post-shift setup and breakdown of the restaurant.
• Maintain levels of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other operating supplies.
• Communicate effectively with staff to ensure smooth service.
• Coordinate timely delivery of food from kitchen to dining room.
• Monitor areas for cleanliness and guest-service needs.
• Handle dishes, glassware, and equipment safely.
• Assist with events, private dining, and large parties.
• Respond to guest requests and communicate complaints to staff.
• Maintain professional appearance aligned with luxury standards.
• Comply with health, sanitation, safety, and hotel requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
