Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a skilled Food & Beverage Server for the West Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. The role focuses on delivering exemplary service in a fine dining setting, greeting guests, taking orders, and ensuring accurate service aligned with brand standards.

Candidates should have 3-4 years of experience, knowledge of wine service, strong English, and a proven upsell ability; proficiency with Micros POS is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Food & Beverage Server in a fine dining luxury outlet required.
• Sommelier Certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Strong Micros Point of Sale systems proficiency required.
• Strong knowledge of appropriate table settings, food presentation, and fine dining etiquette.
• In-depth understanding of menu items, preparation methods, and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage offerings.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.
• Excellent upselling skills, exceptional attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greeting all guests and owners warmly with welcome greeting.
• Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Assess guests’ preferences and make recommendations.
• Prepare tables, by laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.
• Staying updated with current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items…
• Handle table bookings, direct guests to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist with drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details, communicate specific customer needs to the cooks.
• Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guests’ needs, offering desserts and drinks, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses etc.
• Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
• Perform general cleaning tasks utilizing cleaning products whilst adhering to health and safety standards.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
