Job summary

Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI, part of the Newport Restaurant Group, seeks a Commis Cook for Aurelia to join our fine-dining team. You will prep ingredients, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables and desserts to specification while maintaining a clean workstation and strict food-safety standards.

Ideal candidates are energetic, collaborative, and able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed.
• High-volume and hotel experience is a plus.
• Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment.

Responsibilities

• Prep ingredients and prepare recipes to specification.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
• Properly label and rotate ingredients and finished recipes according to FLM standard.
• Maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
• Assist with receiving deliveries.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures as detailed in Food Safety Plan.
• Always maintain composure and hospitality with guests and staff.
