Job summary

West Park YMCA in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Program Instructor for Fine Arts. You will plan and lead age-appropriate activities, implement program plans, and reinforce YMCA values while maintaining clean, safe spaces.

Qualifications include 1+ year in youth programming and in dance/tumbling, CPR/First Aid within 30 days, bloodborne pathogen training, and concussion training prior to sports activities. Beginning pay is $10.70 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year's experience in programming/program growth.
• Minimum of one year's experience in any style of dance or tumbling program.
• CPR and First Aid certification and Safety training required within 30 days of hire.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must complete concussion training prior to working in a sports related activity.

Responsibilities

• Plan all activities in advance with proper materials and attire.
• Incorporate YMCA Character Development values into each lesson.
• Maintain class/participant attendance and student skill records.
• Keep teen area clean and hazard-free; communicate and eliminate hazards.
• Adhere to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Ensure classes taught align with YMCA of Greater Cleveland standards and policies.
