West Park YMCA is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to design and lead safe, high-quality classes at 15501 Lorain Rd, Cleveland. The role emphasizes motivation, clear instruction, and adapting moves to participant levels while prioritizing safety and hydration throughout each session.

Ideal candidates hold CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, plus a YMCA Group Exercise credential or equivalent. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, Associates degree preferred.
• Current CPR/AED for Adults, Children and Infants and First Aid certifications.
• Foundations of YMCA Group Exercise certification or current YMCA Group Exercise certification.
• Must possess current certification or documentation of training in the specific class format.

Responsibilities

• Design classes adhering to the designated format and class description.
• Teach scheduled classes with energy and enthusiasm.
• Demonstrate skills clearly and match participants' abilities.
• Provide safe, inclusive instructor presence with proper form cues.
