Personal Banker (Financial Wellness Manager)

As a vital member of our Retail team, the Financial Wellness Manager plays a key role in creating exceptional, empowering experiences that inspire loyalty and promote financial well-being. Focused on delivering fast, easy, and enjoyable service, the Financial Wellness Manager exceeds member expectations by taking ownership of every interaction, providing responsive solutions, and partnering with internal teams to drive financial stability for our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Member Relationship Building: Develop and manage a portfolio of loyal, active, and engaged members by delivering financial empowerment support and referring opportunities to internal business partners.
  2. Problem-Solving & Member Advocacy: Utilize discovery techniques to identify member needs, solve problems proactively, and influence members to make decisions in their best financial interest.
  3. Onboarding and Member Engagement: Lead new member onboarding and reboarding experiences designed to maximize member value and deepen relationships.
  4. Sales Growth & Campaign Execution: Expand loan and deposit market share by running successful outbound call campaigns, responding to inbound inquiries, and achieving key success targets such as checking account activations, product penetration, services per household, and cross-sales.
  5. Networking and Community Engagement: Build and expand your professional network through social media outreach, word-of-mouth referrals, and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Financial Coaching and Guidance: Understand common financial challenges for targeted member segments and develop personalized financial game plans. Provide tailored advice and ongoing accountability to help members reach their goals.
  7. Presentation Delivery: Conduct impactful presentations to both small and large audiences, virtually or in person, to share client’s financial empowerment initiatives.
  8. Branch and Office Operations: When assigned to a facility, maintain office operations including asset management, cash handling, inventory, daily reconciliation, and compliance with security procedures. Uphold a professional, welcoming workspace for members and guests.
  9. Flexible Work Assignments: Support flexible workplace needs by covering in-branch operations or participating in virtual initiatives as needed.

Performance Goals:

  • Grow loan and deposit balances.
  • Increase active member engagement within your portfolio.
  • Maintain high levels of member satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of financial products, services, and remote banking tools.
  • Knowledge of common consumer financial needs and solutions.

Abilities:

  • Adapt to a dynamic set of responsibilities and multitask effectively.
  • Accept feedback and participate actively in coaching and development opportunities.
  • Analyze financial data and member needs using logical, statistical, and reasoning skills.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance employee and member experiences.
  • Proficient in CRM and sales/service delivery software.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
  • Work Environment: This role may include working from a designated facility or providing flexible support across locations.
  • Professional Standards: Maintain a polished and professional appearance and deliver exceptional in-person and virtual service experiences.
