Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented financial analyst to review inquiries, analyze cost reports, and prepare data-driven reports. You will support travel requisitions, reimbursements, and internal transfers while ensuring policy compliance and quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Three (3) years of financial transactions experience or related experience required.
• Knowledge of institutional financial administration policies, procedures, and practices.
• Knowledge of governmental and institutional regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of records management policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of accounting systems and data.
• Ability to prepare financial reports using existing systems and data.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to financial process inquiries submitted via phone, email, or service desk.
• Review and analyze cost reports, contracts, and other financial data to advise customers.
• Enter and analyze data and create reports.
• Initiate, support, and process travel requisitions and reimbursements, purchase requisitions, internal transfers, and payments to individuals.
• Maintain transaction documentation and confirm completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance.
• Review and monitor department- and customer-defined key performance indicators.
• Maintain Business Analytics software dashboards with timely account and financial information.
• Manage customer relationships and participate in client department meetings.
• Identify recurring issues, elevate them, and participate in business process improvement.
• Provide monthly variance analysis and account-services reconciliation to departments.
• Advise clients on best practices and solutions to reduce errors and optimize resources.
• Review client accounts for accurate accounting of expenditures.
• Promote financial policies, procedures, and programs and educate customers on their interpretation.
