Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to support the Finance Division's regulatory and managerial reporting within the MRO group. This role links Finance, Accounting, Business Lines, and Technology to analyze financial data and ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate combines accounting/finance knowledge with analytical skills and a willingness to learn new skills, contributing to critical month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, CS, Statistics, Math, Accounting, Finance or Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically six to eight years of related experience.
• Strong accounting/finance knowledge with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support managerial and regulatory reporting processes ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Perform financial data analysis, reconciliation, and validation to support reporting accuracy.
• Partner with accounting, business lines, and technology teams to research and resolve reporting discrepancies.
• Analyze business requirements and assess impacts to financial reporting and information systems.
• Participate in projects affecting financial, managerial, and regulatory reporting processes.
• Develop and execute test plans for system enhancements and data integrations.
• Document findings and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in development and maintenance of reporting controls and documentation.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting activities.
• Participate in production support and issue resolution activities.
