We are recruiting a Financial Systems Analyst for a fast‑growing energy organization. This person needs to be a technology‑driven problem solver to elevate and modernize its Accounting & Finance systems.

About the Role

As the Financial Systems Analyst, Accounting & Finance, you will serve as the internal expert for all financial systems—particularly a newly implemented accounting platform. Operating at the intersection of Accounting, Finance, and IT, you will drive automation, streamline data flows, and deliver smarter reporting using tools such as Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and SQL.

This role blends responsibilities of Business Analyst, Product Owner, and advanced Application Support, perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and shaping how technology supports the business.

What You'll Do

• Own and optimize the financial accounting platform, including configuration, integrations, and system performance
• Map, refine, and enhance financial data flows across the organization
• Collaborate with Accounting & Finance leaders to streamline processes and introduce automation
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for leadership
• Partner with data engineering teams to improve pipelines (Azure Data Factory, SQL)
• Lead Accounting/Finance technology initiatives as Product Owner
• Provide Tier 3 support for financial applications and manage documentation, access, and training

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience with oil & gas accounting systems (Enertia preferred)
• 3+ years of direct experience with Enertia
• Strong understanding of O&G accounting (revenue, JIB, production accounting)
• Proficiency in SQL and Power BI
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or ETL workflows
• Strong business analysis and process‑improvement capabilities
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non‑technical teams

Preferred

• Prior experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Application Support Specialist
• Exposure to fund accounting or financial services
• Knowledge of data governance, data warehousing, or API integrations
