Job summary

COUNTRY Financial is seeking a professional to manage and improve the general ledger related business systems. You will develop, implement, and analyze processes, complete journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure strong controls within the ledger.

The role requires a typical 4+ years of relevant experience, and offers eligibility for a Short-Term Incentive plan in addition to base pay. You will collaborate with technology on system improvements and training.

About the role

Responsible for the development, implementation, analysis and maintenance of business systems impacting the general ledger. Completes journal entries and account reconciliations related to the business system processes. Establishes and maintains accounting policies and control within the general ledger.

How does this role make an impact?

• Represents the department in providing recommendations related to projects that impact the ledger which includes requirements, report building, assisting in testing and implementation.

• Reviews or completes account reconciliations, interface balancing, and the processing of journal entries in an accurate and timely manner.

• Updates and maintains close schedules to keep Controllers on track to meet the financial reporting deadlines.

• Completes analysis regarding processes, systems, or other inquiries from internal/external departments and provides feedback or recommendations.

• Evaluates the operating efficiencies of systems, procedures, and workflow related to accounting operations for the department. Makes recommendations and implements any improvements identified.

• Serves as the accounting department liaison to Technology regarding business systems.

• Trains staff on financial transactions that occur within these business systems.

Base Pay Range:

$64,800-$89,100

The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.

Incentive Pay:

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
