Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA, invites a Financial Analyst II to join the Financial Strategy, Planning & Analysis (FSP&A) Office. You will work independently and collaboratively to deliver timely, high‑impact financial analysis for Lab-wide needs.

The role focuses on building core models, presenting to senior management, ensuring data integrity, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements within FSP&A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related experience (or advanced degree with 1+ year; or PhD).
• Strong financial planning, budget formulation, data and statistical analysis, and information systems knowledge.
• Proven Excel skills and SQL experience to extract and transform data.
• Ability to independently generate complex financial reports and solve problems.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities and learning new technologies while maintaining discretion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core financial models to forecast scenarios and workforce needs.
• Create executive presentations with charts and visuals for senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Extract and interpret financial datasets to assess Lab-wide performance.
• Monitor data integrity for monthly reporting and resolve deviations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a trusted financial advisor.
• Identify and implement process improvements across the FSP&A organization.
