Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation seeks a Personal Banker to build trusted relationships with customers, assess financial needs, and offer products and services that improve their financial well-being. You will work within our consumer banking team to deliver a high-energy, customer-centric experience.

You will learn UMB's products through extensive training, call on leads, visit businesses for workplace banking, and develop referral networks while meeting daily sales and service goals.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in a retail environment engaging with customers and making product recommendations that lead to sales or relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Asking personalized questions to convert transactions and service requests into cross-sell conversations.
• Create sales opportunities by calling leads, visiting businesses for workplace banking, and developing referral networks.
• Achieve daily key performance metrics while balancing priorities.
• Learn processes like transactions, cash drawer management, and banking documentation per industry standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
