Job summary

Freedom Federal Credit Union is hiring a Financial Services Representative I in Maryland. The role blends member service, sales, and branch operations to meet member needs and support growth. Starting at $22/hour with a $500 sign-on bonus and an incentive program on loan protection policies.

You will greet members, present products, open accounts, process loans, and handle teller duties while adhering to AML and privacy requirements. Weekend availability may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1-year previous experience in customer services, cash handling, and sales; Previous experience in banking or financial services preferred.
• Knowledge of credit union operations and financial products.
• Proven experience in sales and member service with a track record of achieving targets.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Member Service: Greet members and visitors in a friendly and professional manner; Address inquiries; Resolve issues promptly.
• Sales: Identify cross-sell opportunities; Meet or exceed sales targets; Conduct product presentations.
• Account Management: Open new member accounts; Process loan applications; Follow up with members.
• Transactional Duties: Teller duties; Balance cash drawers; Process transfers.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to policies; Maintain confidentiality; Report suspicious activities.
• Team Collaboration: Work with team members; Participate in branch meetings; Improve branch performance.
• Administrative Tasks: Maintain records; Prepare reports; Stay updated on products and policies.
