Job summary

PenFed Credit Union in Eugene, Oregon is hiring a Customer Service Representative to work onsite at our Service Center. The role focuses on answering incoming calls, providing basic account and product information, and processing transactions to support members.

You will educate members on products and services, navigate multiple banking platforms, and strive for a best-in-class member experience in a fast-paced call center environment. Training will be provided, including on-the-job coaching.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 1 year of college-level education, or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in a call center, service-oriented environment, or financial setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Exceptional time management skills required.
• Ability to work in fast-paced call center environment.
• Proficiency in standard business computer operations, internet applications, web browsers, e-mail, and Windows-based software.
• Able to present a positive, professional presence over the phone.
• Experience using AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound member calls and complete transactions for deposits, credit cards, and loan products.
• Provide a Best-in-Class member experience in all member interactions.
• Answer inquiries via chat and outbound calls.
• Research, resolve, and de-escalate member questions or issues.
• Update member records and document calls.
• Navigate multiple banking platforms via internet browsers and other software.
• Meet cross-selling and productivity metrics each month.
• Complete training phases with different call topics.
