Job summary

Trustmark National Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker II in Madison, MS to identify customer needs and connect them with suitable bank products and services. You will engage in proactive sales and service to deepen customer relationships while handling cash and non-cash transactions with accuracy.

The role requires 2 years of customer service experience, a high school diploma or GED, and willingness to learn lending guidelines and obtain NMLS registration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of face-to-face customer service or retail sales experience.
• Ability to learn Trustmark consumer and/or mortgage lending guidelines and process applicable loans within 2 years of employment
• Must register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
• Strong math skills and ability to handle routine transactions and cash drawer
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Able to meet sales goals in a retail environment
• Proficient with basic computer systems and internal technology platforms

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and make referrals through proactive sales/service
• Service, sell, and cross-sell deposit accounts, loan products, insurance, and cash management services
• Deliver exceptional customer experience following service standards
• Safeguard assets and process transactions accurately (deposits, withdrawals, wires, loan payments, and account maintenance)
• Balance cash drawer daily and ensure documents are complete
• Achieve sales and referral goals quarterly while transforming service into sales
• Make outreach calls to customers and prospects
• Coach and mentor other Relationship Bankers and Tellers
• Review/approve various transactions (night drops, ATM deposits, etc.) and oversee cash shipments/vaults
• Possess ability to originate consumer loans
• Perform additional duties as assigned
