Ancorum CU is hiring a Financial Service Associate based out of our Bath location.

Delivers high-quality, timely, and accurate service experiences to all members, with a focus on building relationships, supporting financial wellness, and expanding account engagement. This role emphasizes understanding each member’s unique financial needs to provide effective assistance with transactions, inquiries, account maintenance, proactive member education, and consultive recommendations. Also responsible for opening new accounts, supporting loan processing, and contributing to overall branch operations.

Description
  • Deliver accurate and efficient front-line member service by processing transactions, opening accounts, and supporting account maintenance activities while creating positive member experiences. Including identifying member financial needs and recommending appropriate credit union products and services to strengthen relationships and support financial well-being.
  • Process and maintain account opening and loan applications in compliance with credit union policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards, plus service enrollments, and providing general information related to loan products, rates, and terms.
  • Ensure operational accuracy and branch readiness by maintaining equipment and systems, resolving routine issues independently, and escalating complex matters as needed including but not limited to posting, troubleshooting, and auditing ATMs, ITMs, cash recyclers, and related systems.
  • Resolve routine member issues independently through effective use of available resources and upscale complex transactions or exceptions to appropriate leadership when necessary.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and professionalism by responding constructively to organizational changes and performing additional duties as required.
  • Ensure seamless service delivery by recognizing member needs and facilitating essential account actions - including dispute processing, profile updates, and document verification - supporting members in maintaining accurate accounts and working toward financial self-sufficiency.

  • Ensure confidentiality and preservation of member records, transactions, and company assets.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality by consistently reporting to work as scheduled and arriving prepared to begin duties at the designated start time.
  • Ensure all activity complies with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Be depended upon to perform all duties as scheduled, accurately and efficiently.
  • Foster and maintain effective collaborative relations within the department and with other departments.
  • Represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner to the members, other credit unions, industry affiliates, the community, and all media channels including social media.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully across diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, roles, and departments.
  • Proficiency in Basic Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook, or the ability to learn similar tools.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Service experience with public preferred
