About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing, global manufacturing organization seeking a Financial

Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

This is a highly visible opportunity to play a key role in the company's preparation for an anticipated initial public offering (IPO), including its confidential S-1 filing, while gaining exposure to financial reporting, technical accounting, and corporate consolidations.

The position offers a unique combination of technical accounting, SEC reporting, and hands-on financial close responsibilities, with the flexibility to shape the role around the selected candidate's strengths and long-term career interests.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • IPO Exposure: Play an integral role in preparing for an anticipated S-1 filing and the transition to public-company reporting.
  • Career Growth: Opportunity to develop into a specialized SEC Reporting/Technical Accounting role or focus more heavily on corporate consolidations.
  • Flexible Hybrid Schedule: Typically two days onsite per week, with occasional flexibility for fewer onsite days and up to three days as business needs require.
  • Leadership Exposure: Work directly with senior accounting leadership on high-impact reporting and technical accounting initiatives.
  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary of $120K–$140K, with flexibility up to $150K for exceptional candidates, plus a 15% bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist with the company's IPO readiness initiatives, including preparation for its confidential S-1 registration statement.
  • Participate in the development of SEC reporting processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Support future Form 10-K and Form 10-Q reporting requirements following the company's transition to public-company reporting.
  • Collaborate with accounting leadership and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
  • Utilize financial reporting platforms such as Workiva, ActiveDisclosure, or similar applications.
Technical Accounting
  • Research, interpret, and apply complex U.S. GAAP accounting guidance.
  • Prepare technical accounting memoranda and supporting documentation for significant accounting matters.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating accounting implications of business transactions and organizational changes.
  • Support the development and implementation of accounting policies, reporting procedures, and process improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to address financial reporting and accounting matters.
Corporate Accounting & Consolidations
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
  • Support consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities and business units.
  • Prepare and review consolidation entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with corporate accounting leadership to improve consolidation processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Gain exposure to OneStream or similar financial consolidation systems.
  • Support special projects related to financial reporting, systems enhancements, and accounting transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, financial reporting, or technical accounting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across accounting and finance teams.
  • Willingness to support both financial reporting and consolidations responsibilities.
Preferred
  • Experience with SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, or S-1.
  • Public accounting experience, particularly within audit or accounting advisory.
