JOB DESCRIPTION

Financial Reporting Manager, Finance

Scope:

The Financial Reporting Manager, Finance will report to the AVP, Finance and will be responsible for leading analysis and accounting related to compensation and benefits, including deferred compensation plans, pension, and stock compensation plans. As part of the Global Controllership team, this role will support Chubb's SEC filings and various accounting projects. The manager will interact with internal stakeholders such as HR and divisional leadership, as well as external parties including auditors and actuaries. This role supervises both direct and indirect staff.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand compensation programs, ensuring accurate accounting treatment in financial statements.
• Manage accounting and reporting for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, including pension plans, involving:
• Assumption setting, planning, and forecasting for $4B US pension and post-employment plans.
• Leading the consolidation of the annual 10-K and 10-Q Postretirement Benefit disclosures, working with finance officers and external actuaries.
• Executing control activities, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Supporting external and internal audits.
• Oversee benefit plan audits of US-based ERISA retirement plans, including:
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements.
• Coordinating with TPAs, HR, and auditors.
• Stay informed on emerging accounting standards and regulations related to compensation and benefits, assessing their impact on reporting.
• Assist in reviewing SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures.
• Supervise and support financial analysts.
• Support additional projects as needed.
