Scope

The Financial Reporting Manager, Finance will report to the AVP, Finance and will be responsible for leading analysis and accounting related to compensation and benefits, including deferred compensation plans, pension, and stock compensation plans. As part of the Global Controllership team, this role will support Chubb’s SEC filings and various accounting projects. The manager will interact with internal stakeholders such as HR and divisional leadership, as well as external parties including auditors and actuaries. This role involves supervising both direct and indirect staff members.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand compensation programs, ensuring accurate accounting treatment in financial statements.
• Accountable for accounting and reporting around retirement plans, including pension, with activities such as assumption setting, planning, forecasting for $4B US pension plans, leading consolidation of disclosures, and supporting audits.
• Manage benefit plan audits, including financial statement preparation and coordination with external parties.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations related to compensation and benefits, and assess their impact on reporting.
• Assist in reviewing SEC filings and support other projects as needed.
• Supervise and support financial analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Audit experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a focus on process improvement.
