Job summary

Suna Solutions seeks an experienced CPA to manage external financial reporting in California. You will prepare, review, and file Forms 10-K/10-Q and related disclosures, lead lease accounting reviews, and coordinate with internal and external auditors.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 4+ years of Big 4 or national firm audit experience, and strong GAAP knowledge. Proficiency in Workiva and advanced Excel is preferred; excellent communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license required.
• 4+ years of audit-related experience preferred from Big 4/National public accounting firm supporting public companies.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with Workiva preferred.
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file all external financial reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, S-3, Schedule 13D, Form 4, earnings releases, supplemental data and proxy accurately in a timely manner.
• Research guidance and implement process and procedures associated with technical accounting issues
• Manage the XBRL tagging filing process for Forms 10-K and 10-Q
• Manage lease accounting review process, including preparation and review of leasing abstracts/whitepaper memos and hosting training sessions for accounting department regarding requirements of lease review
• Participating and/or leading projects as assigned
• Provide accounting support and analysis for acquisitions/disposals
• Provide assistance and coordination with internal and external audit process
• Track equity transactions and prepare related journal entries
• Manage the disclosure checklist and additional checklists for Forms 10-K and 10-Q
• Lead and participate in cross-functional accounting and financial reporting projects, including process improvements, system enhancements, new accounting standards, and other initiatives as assigned.
• Leverage advanced Excel capabilities to analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, develop reporting tools, automate recurring processes, identify trends and variances, and improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting processes.
