Job description

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for very motivated and detail-oriented Manager of Financial Reporting to join the financial reporting team for an industry leading luxury aerospace/aviation client. This role is responsible for the preparation of the monthly consolidated financials, reporting packages, US GAAP financial statements, handling of intercompany reconciliations, chairman reports, reporting system administration/maintenance, and supporting the monthly and year-end close activities to ensure timely reporting.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Assist with semi-annual reporting and annual standalone consolidated financial statements
• Administer Longview reporting system, including maintenance and setup of system-generated reports
• Support month-end and year-end close processes for timely reporting
• Prepare monthly chairman’s report and executive summaries
• Act as point of contact for external auditors
• Prepare corporate accounting journal entries and intercompany transactions
• Conduct technical accounting research and documentation
• Lead ASC842 lease accounting and perform variance analysis
• Ensure key controls related to financial reporting

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• 6-12 years of financial reporting experience and prior public accounting experience (Big 4 or Tier 2)
• Experience with SAP or large ERP systems and proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Plus if have experience in aviation/aerospace industry (other highly considered industries include, manufacturing, distribution, transportation
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification is required
