JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Reporting Manager is a results-oriented leader responsible for SEC reporting, technical accounting research, policy development, and advising on accounting matters. The role involves preparing SEC filings, managing financial systems, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead the preparation and submission of SEC filings including 10-Q, 10-K, earnings releases, and other related documents.
2. Research complex accounting issues and analyze financial statements to ensure proper GAAP application.
3. Coordinate with auditors and regulators during audits and reviews.
4. Manage financial data quality and support timely reporting.
5. Implement process improvements for SEC reporting activities.
6. Develop and maintain accounting policies consistent with GAAP.
7. Stay informed on GAAP, SEC rules, and emerging issues, communicating impacts to management.
8. Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
9. Advise on complex transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and financial reporting strategies.
10. Prepare ad hoc reports and participate in special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting.
• Licensed CPA.
• 7+ years’ experience in public accounting or SEC reporting within a large public company.
• Experience in banking/financial services industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience with Workiva/Wdesk preferred.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
