Job Description: Financial Reporting Manager

Ascendo Resources is representing a client seeking a Financial Reporting Manager. This role involves preparing consolidated financial statements, managing intercompany transactions, supporting reporting system operations, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end closes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, independent, and experienced in US GAAP and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare consolidated financial statements monthly
2. Lead semi-annual reporting and detailed balance sheet reviews
3. Prepare annual standalone financials and footnotes per US GAAP
4. Administer and maintain corporate financial reporting tools
5. Support monthly and year-end close processes
6. Compile executive reports and variance analyses
7. Coordinate with external auditors during audits
8. Post journal entries, allocations, and eliminations
9. Conduct technical accounting research
10. Oversee lease accounting under ASC 842
11. Ensure compliance with internal controls

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Active CPA license
• 7–12 years of financial reporting experience
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and consolidation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with financial reporting software or Excel add-ins
• Experience with reporting systems like Longview
• Ability to work independently and present to leadership
