Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services seeks a Financial Reporting Manager in Dallas, TX, onsite. This role will oversee SEC filings, monthly close, and JV reporting, while leading a team of accountants.

StrongU.S. GAAP knowledge and experience with SAP, BPC, or Workiva are required. Compensation includes $150k–$155k base plus a 30% bonus and lucrative benefits including stock options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA certification is required; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of public accounting and/or industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures).
• Oversee monthly consolidated financial reporting and close processes.
• Manage and develop a team of senior and staff accountants.
• Research and resolve complex technical accounting and reporting issues under U.S. GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements and implement reporting best practices.
• Support external audits, quarterly reviews, and transaction-related reporting requirements.
• Oversee reporting for joint ventures and other special projects.

Financial Reporting Manager

Dallas, TX - Onsite

One of Vaco’s Fortune 50 clients is looking to add a few new roles to the team after a very large transaction, one of which includes a Financial Reporting Manager. This person will be heavily involved with consultations between internal entities, preparing the SEC filings and monthly joint venture reporting.

The company is very stable and flush with cash for investments. Internally they have a track record of promotion upwards and across teams and offer very lucrative benefits including stock options.

Compensation $150-155K + 30% Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures).
• Oversee monthly consolidated financial reporting and close processes.
• Manage and develop a team of senior and staff accountants.
• Research and resolve complex technical accounting and reporting issues under U.S. GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements and implement reporting best practices.
• Support external audits, quarterly reviews, and transaction-related reporting requirements.
• Oversee reporting for joint ventures and other special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required, MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of public accounting and/or industry experience.
• Prior leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial consolidations.
• Experience with SAP, BPC, and/or Workiva (Wdesk) preferred.
• Energy industry experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical and communication skills.
