Job summary

A growing public company in Irvine, CA seeks a Manager of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to join its corporate finance team. This role partners with accounting, finance, legal, and executive leadership to support critical reporting and compliance initiatives.

You will lead the preparation of SEC filings, disclosures, technical memos, and SOX controls, while driving process improvements in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Direct applicants only; no C2C.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with SEC reporting responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and public company reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing technical accounting analyses and memos.
• CPA preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and other public company reporting requirements
• Prepare and review financial statement disclosures and footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
• Research and document technical accounting matters, including complex and non-routine transactions
• Prepare accounting position papers and technical memos
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support external audits and quarterly review procedures
• Maintain and enhance SOX controls and documentation
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency
