Job summary

DISCO seeks a Financial Reporting Manager in Austin to own SEC reporting, coordinate with finance, legal, and investor relations, and ensure timely disclosures and GAAP compliance. This role demands hands-on management of external reporting processes and close activities.

Ideal candidates hold 5+ years in SEC reporting for SaaS, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and a CPA. Proficiency in MD&A, footnotes, and SEC filings, plus experience with NetSuite/Workiva is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SEC financial reporting experience, preferably with SaaS companies
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required
• Experience drafting MD&A and footnote disclosures
• Experience with SEC filings and US GAAP disclosure requirements
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Accounting Policy, and SEC reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain support for external reporting (EPS, stock-based compensation, Consolidated FS, Income Statement, Cash Flows, Stockholders’ Equity)
• Coordinate with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations to prepare disclosures
• Interact with external and internal auditors to provide requested support timely
• Manage equity within E*Trade
• Assist in month-end close processes and close schedule
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analyses
• Serve as technical accounting SME ensuring quarterly and annual reporting compliance

Job description

• We are looking for a self-starter and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager who will report to the Director of Accounting
• Work closely with the finance and legal team to manage and prepare the company’s financial reporting
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations to prepare disclosures
• Prepare and maintain support for all areas of external reporting process, such as EPS calculations, stock-based compensation expense, Consolidated Balance Sheet, Consolidated Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, Statement of Stockholders Equity
• Interact with external and internal auditors to ensure that support and explanations for all requests are provided in a timely manner
• Manage equity for the company within E*Trade
• Assist in managing the month-end close processes and the close schedule
• Assist with the preparation and/or review of balance sheet reconciliations and perform income statement account analyses
• This role will serve as the technical accounting subject matter expert and will ensure all quarterly and annual reporting is compliant with applicable requirements
