Job summary

The State of Minnesota is seeking a Management Analyst 3 for the Administration Dept, Plant Mgmt Business Operations. Duty includes designing and managing the financial reporting system, analyzing reports, and advising division management.

Minimum qualifications include two years of financial analysis experience, GAAP/GASB familiarity, and strong Excel/ad hoc reporting skills. This is a day-shift, full-time role with standard Minnesota state benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience analyzing financial data and implementing technical reports. A bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or a related degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience interpreting financial documents and/or statements in accordance with GAAP, GASB, and federal laws, regulations, and policies.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office including Excel to create/run reports and ad hoc reports.
• Computer skills in database, spreadsheet and word processing software such as Microsoft Office to design/retrieve/manipulate data and prepare reports.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills to complete assignments within deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical information orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage the financial reporting system for the Facilities Management Division.
• Analyze and interpret financial reports and provide strategic advice to division management.
• Support the Business Operations Manager on special projects and initiatives.
