Chesterfield County is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst II to join the General Accounting team. The role focuses on fixed assets, capital assets, and year-end reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with county policy.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in accounting with 3 years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellent analytical and communication skills. Pre-employment background checks apply; regular daytime hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes.
• Ability to prepare and review journal entries and workpapers.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Fund Managers to classify fixed assets and set useful lives per policy.
• Review asset purchases for correct account coding and capitalization compliance.
• Serve as liaison for fixed asset and lease inventory transactions.
• Prepare journal entries for depreciation, purchases, donations, transfers and disposals.
• Assist in the audit and reporting of year-end Capital Assets in the CAFR.
• Maintain Fixed Asset system data and ensure GAAP compliance.
