Job summary

Dallas County in Dallas, TX is seeking a Fixed Assets Analyst to maintain asset inventory, generate reports, and perform data entry within the Auditor's Office. Key duties include reconciling accounts from sub-ledgers and bank statements, inspecting and tagging new fixed assets, posting journal entries, and preparing supporting documentation for asset reports to the Fixed Asset Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business, or in a job-related field of study.
• Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Reconciles accounts from various sub-ledgers, bank statements, and third-party documents.
• Inspects and tags new fixed assets prior to acceptance into the County Inventory System.
• Recommends or corrects posting and prepares supporting journal entries.
• Develops correspondence regarding errors or other financial related information, answers inquiries, conducts research and resolves financial questions.
• Reviews accounting data for accuracy, prepares reports regarding financial data, and assures maintenance to reports are timely.
• Communicates and provides information and support for reports presented to Fixed Asset Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
