Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; CPA is required or in process.
• Minimum of 5 years of full-time accounting/finance experience with at least 3 years in Big 4.
• Experience auditing or consulting for publicly traded companies is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize relevant guidance to ensure all 10-Q and 10-K disclosures are properly included.
• Identify new work streams that could trigger new disclosures in 10-Q and 10-K filings.
• Analyze current disclosure supporting documents to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements accordingly.
• Analyze and document account and financial statement line item fluctuations.
• Ensure that SOX controls design, documentation, and execution meet requirements.
• Assist with ad-hoc technical accounting research.
• Coordinate with external auditors and subject matter experts to address quarterly/annual requests promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A fast-growing, publicly traded company in the energy industry is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join the team. This role supports the preparation of SEC filings and serves as a key point of contact for external auditors, all within a collaborative and innovative environment. The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for assisting with the preparation of 10-Q and 10-K filings, keeping up with emerging U.S. GAAP standards and disclosure requirements, and supporting the company's external audit process.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the relevant guidance to ensure all 10-Q and 10-K disclosures are properly included.
• Identify new work streams that could trigger new disclosures in the company's 10-Q and 10-K filings.
• Analyze current disclosure supporting documents to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements accordingly.
• Analyze and document account and financial statement line item fluctuations.
• Ensure that the design, documentation, and execution of the financial reporting process narratives and internal and disclosure controls comply with SOX.
• Assist with general ad-hoc technical accounting research.
• Coordinate with the company's external auditors and the various subject matter experts to ensure quarterly and annual requests are received and addressed promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting required; active license, or currently in the process of becoming licensed, as a Certified Public Accountant required
• Minimum of 5 years of full-time accounting and/or finance experience with at least 3 of those years serving within the Big 4 required
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience associated with auditing or consulting publicly traded companies required
