Job summary

Ultimus Fund Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant – Financial Reporting in Milwaukee to prepare all aspects of the annual audited financial statements for hedge funds and private equity funds, including checklists and responding to client and external auditor requests.

You will produce financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statements of changes and cash flows), footnote disclosures and schedules; ensuring timely, accurate completion, coordinating with management and clients,

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ (relevant) experience in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask, time management, attention to detail, planning and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively through written and oral communication with current and potential clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statements of changes, cash flows, schedule of investments, and footnote disclosures including financial highlights.
• Understanding of hedge funds and private equity funds under administration (legal structure, investment objective, fee structure, etc.).
• Timely response to client inquiries, as required.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
• Completion of special projects as required.
• Ability to multi-task between different tasks and internal demands throughout the day.
• Continually updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; internal company and team trainings; maintains personal networks; participates in professional development opportunities and.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
