Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our established corporate accounting and financial reporting team. The role supports internal and external financial reporting, quarterly statements, and equity-related accounting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong financial reporting within industry, and familiarity with equity transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with strong financial reporting exposure.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with equity transactions/accounting is strongly preferred.
• Prior public accounting experience, particularly with a national or Big 4 firm, is a plus.
• CPA preferred, but not required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Flexible, adaptable, and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Prepare internal and external financial reporting packages.
• Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements and reporting.
• Support equity accounting and transactions (stock options and repurchases).
• Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial statement documentation.
• Partner with accounting leadership during quarter-end and year-end close/reporting.
• Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and in compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation.
• Adapt to changing priorities and take ownership of reporting responsibilities within a collaborative team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join an established corporate accounting and financial reporting team. This role will support the preparation of internal and external financial reporting, quarterly financial statements, and equity-related accounting.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on financial reporting experience within industry. Public accounting experience is highly valued, but candidates should have experience beyond a purely audit-focused role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare internal and external financial reporting packages
• Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements and reporting
• Support equity accounting and transactions, including stock options and stock repurchases
• Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial statement documentation
• Partner with accounting leadership throughout the quarter-end and year-end close/reporting process
• Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards
• Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation
• Adapt to changing priorities and take ownership of reporting responsibilities within a collaborative team
