Job summary

Mariner Careers is seeking an Intern, Financial Planning to assist advisors with holistic planning and client relationship support for high-net-worth clients. You will contribute to onboarding, meeting prep, and the creation of financial plans, gaining hands-on experience.

This role emphasizes development of advisory, communication and EQ skills through real client work, use of planning and CRM software, data entry, and collaboration on team projects to deliver superior client service.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with an expected graduation date within 12 months of the start.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process onboarding paperwork.
• Schedule client meetings and develop materials explaining financial concepts.
• Observe client meetings to learn relationship-building.
• Assist in meeting follow-up, documentation, and solution development.
• Contribute ideas during team discussions on service improvements.
• Support client service activities including account maintenance and money movement processes.
• Use financial planning and CRM software to aid plan development and data management.
• Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and compiling plan deliverables.
• Collaborate with team members on special projects and client service initiatives.
