Mariner Wealth Advisors is seeking an Intern in Financial Planning to support advisors in delivering holistic financial planning and exceptional client experiences. You will assist with onboarding, meeting prep, and the creation of financial plans under guidance.

The role offers exposure to client interaction, relationship management, and business development opportunities while developing foundational advisory and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with graduation within 12 months of start date.
• Major in wealth management, financial planning, finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in onboarding by preparing necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Support scheduling and create clear, engaging materials explaining financial concepts.
• Observe meetings to understand advisor-client relationship building.
• Contribute to post-meeting follow-ups, including documentation and research.
• Support client service activities including account maintenance and money movements.
• Use planning software and CRM to assist with plan development and data management.
• Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and compiling deliverables.
• Collaborate on special projects and client service initiatives.
