Job summary

Plante Moran Wealth Management seeks an Intern to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You will work with professionals at all levels to support client investment planning, financial analysis, and reporting, with substantial scope to contribute to client success.

The role emphasizes learning across wealth management, investments, and tax strategies while pursuing a CFP track. Travel and in-person collaboration are part of the experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, economics, accounting or related field.
• Strong interest in investments and economics.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
• On track to complete degree and CFP exam/CFP Board Registered Program with goal of CFP license.

Responsibilities

• Assessing clients' assets, liabilities, cash flow, tax status, and financial objectives to develop investment and financial planning solutions.
• Evaluate client financial plans utilizing investment and tax strategy knowledge.
• Perform recurring quality control on account activity and ensure trades and distributions are provided.
• Prepare reports with charts/graphs to illustrate recommendations.
