Role Overview:

This FP&A & Corporate Development role is a key part of the leadership team reporting directly to a transaction partner. The role will involve leading the analysis of the Pursuits Team, including the assessment of investments and acquisitions. The role will help identify, assess, model and recommend - together with the Transaction and One Dragon Team - to make investments or acquisitions. The role must have a strong operational orientation and experience from operating companies in software and services in a similar role. The role will require a deep understanding of how strategy and execution translates to a financial expression that can be measured and managed. This role is ideal for someone who loves building processes and teams thrives in fast-paced environments, and understands the pace and priorities of FinTech investments and buyouts and the analysis needed to drive success.

What You’ll Do:

FP&A:

• Create financial models to monitor existing investments and their performance relative to expectations.
• Develop dashboards to measure performance against expectations for multiphase investments which could be start-up companies to large buyout investments.
• Establish early-stage reporting infrastructure (KPIs, dashboards, cash runway tracking) using lightweight tools (Excel, Notion, Airtable, etc.) and evolve over time.
• Partner with founders and department heads to set financial goals and track key metrics (e.g., burn rate, CAC/LTV, GMV, revenue retention).
• Support decision-making on hiring plans, pricing strategy, GTM investments, and product roadmap prioritization.
• Prepare investor updates, Board decks, and capital planning materials.
• Work with buyout companies on dashboards and reporting. Help partner group manage investment performance.

Corporate Development & Strategy:

• Lead financial modeling and valuation for fundraising rounds, strategic partnerships, investments and M&A opportunities.
• Partner on pitch deck development and due diligence materials for investors (Seed, Series A, etc.).
• Conduct competitive and market research to inform company strategy and product-market fit.
• Support founder/CEO in evaluating strategic opportunities and communicating growth story to external stakeholders.
• Create detailed models to support investment committee recommendations on investments and acquisition opportunities.

What You Bring:

• 5-8+ years of experience in FP&A, operating expertise in similar roles for a software and services company who has managed investors in private equity or venture capital.
• Understand how operational issues impact the assumptions around modeling and forecasting.
• Strong command of financial modeling, SaaS or fintech metrics, and capital efficiency strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both in financial storytelling and cross-functional collaboration.
• Comfort operating as a player-coach, with willingness to roll up your sleeves and iterate rapidly.
• Fintech experience, especially in areas like embedded finance, B2B payments, credit/lending, or core banking a plus.
• Exposure to financial infrastructure, compliance, or regulated environments.

Location: South Florida Remote. Willing to travel as needed.
