We're looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

This role is Remote, United States

Job Summary: Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Corporate FP&A to join our dynamic Finance team, reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate FP&A. This critical role will oversee the financial planning and analysis functions, ensuring timely deliverables and high-quality financial reporting. The role involves direct supervision of one team member and plays a key partnership role with the management team.

In this role you will...

1. Financial Planning & Forecasting:

• Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and analysis.
• Manage the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles, aligning with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

Financial Planning System Support (Oracle PBCS):

• Manage and maintain Oracle PBCS processes and systems.
• Provide expert support and troubleshooting for PBCS-related issues, with IT support.
• Serve as the primary administrator of the FP&A planning system.
• Maintain system integrity through data management, model configuration, user access, and reporting templates.
• Optimize system workflows for better forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide training to promote system adoption and self-service reporting.
• Lead headcount planning and system uploads.
• Implement cost allocation rules for IT and Facilities.
• Coordinate with IT for system management and updates.

BOD/Management Reporting:

• Prepare financial reports for BOD and CFO, highlighting KPIs and trends.
• Develop P&Ls, finance support slides, and variance analysis commentary.
• Develop quarterly business review decks.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights and recommendations.
• Develop financial reporting packages to support decision-making.

Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency:

• Identify opportunities to improve financial planning and reporting processes.
• Implement best practices and system improvements.

Additional Engagement Areas:

• Maintain constant currency reporting.
• Oversee monthly vendor reporting.
• Provide entity-level forecasts for audits and planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
• Support FP&A team with Oracle, SmartView, and finance queries.
• Participate in strategic planning and ensure compliance with GAAP and policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in corporate FP&A or related roles.
• Proficiency in Oracle, PBCS, SmartView, and advanced Excel skills a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience managing or mentoring team members is a plus.
