Role & responsibilities
- Develop processes for identifying and integrating critical business performance drivers into financial planning models.
- Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial planning processes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain delivery of financial planning through SOP, automation, and Integration.
- Work closely with cross functional business units to ensure planning assumptions are aligned with the key stakeholders, ensure effective collaboration and mutual accountability is in place.
- Develop and maintain annual budget, (6M, 12M, 15M and 18M) rolling forecast and 3 - 5 year consolidated financial projections.
- Independently own budget/forecast process. Build new or expand existing models to support the growth of the business
- Drive efficiencies in our planning processes through standardization and automation of dashboards, reports, & templates, as well as calendar alignment around key dates & deadlines.
- Develop and implement scenario modelling to demonstrate cause and effect relationship of different decision levers for strategic prioritization process and decisions.
- Develop practical business applications for prescriptive and predictive analytical models and monitor and analyze model performance and accuracy.
- Provide in-depth financial, variance and trending analyses and value-added insights related to key performances drivers and other financial and non-financial metrics
- Create insightful presentations to summarize analyses and facilitate decision making for leadership
Other Responsibilities:
- Coach and develop a team
- Develop strong understanding of the companys structure and become proficient in various areas of the business including but not limited to sales demand planning, supply chain, and logistics.
- Build a team culture of customer service excellence for both internal and external customers of FP&A team
- Assist in special projects, including system implementations and standardization efforts.
Preferred candidate profile
- Candidates are expected to have a robust understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a highly analytical environment with relevant experience in a corporate finance setting
- CPA and CFA, or any other relevant financial designation
- Minimum 5 years of financial planning experience in a consumer packaged or retail organization
- Shares a passion for analytics and leverages information systems to distill complexity in to clear, actionable insights
- Expertise in Excel, financial analytical model, and financial analyses
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills are a must
- Working knowledge of Python or R (pandas, numpy, scipy), SQL and Power BI
- Familiarity with date visualization software and dashboard creation
- Commitment to continuous process improvement and ability to challenge the status quo to make improvement
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, thrive in a fast-pace environment, take initiative, be highly organized, have attention to detail and be customer focused
