Job Summary

We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to oversee the Associations’ financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis processes. The manager will develop and maintain long-term financial plans to assess financial health and explore strategies.

This role involves partnering with senior leaders to incorporate market conditions, business plans, and strategic initiatives into forecasts and analyses. The manager will also ensure that budgets and management reports serve as effective performance benchmarks and will collaborate with Quantitative Finance on financial models, datasets, and reporting frameworks. Additionally, the role includes mentoring FP&A Analysts and coordinating their work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Develop and monitor Board-approved financial plans, facilitating forecast updates.
2. Lead the budgeting process, including staffing, expenses, loan pricing, revenue, and other business objectives.
3. Collaborate with leaders to understand business drivers and their impact on financial results.
4. Prepare and present management reports with variance analyses and KPIs.
5. Monitor financial outcomes, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
6. Work with Quantitative Finance to enhance financial models, incorporate forecasts, and support stress testing and scenario analyses.
7. Provide ad hoc financial analyses for strategy development and scenario planning.
8. Assist in preparing presentation materials for leadership.
9. Mentor FP&A Analysts on best practices and skills development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master’s preferred.
• 6+ years of financial planning and analysis experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• CPA or CFA preferred.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Microsoft SSAS, Alteryx, SQL.
• Skills in financial modeling and statistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros and complex formulas.
