We're partnering with an established wealth management firm in the Columbus area that's looking to add a Financial Planner to its team.
The salary is $60,000-$85,000 plus a 10% bonus (negotiable based on experience).
You would need to be in the office daily to start, and after 90 days, you would be able to work 2 days per week from home.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 2 years of financial planning experience who wants to continue developing their technical expertise and eventually grow into a Financial Advisor role.
You'll work closely with experienced advisors to develop comprehensive financial plans, analyze clients' financial situations, and identify strategies to help individuals and families achieve their financial goals.
Unlike positions that primarily involve administrative responsibilities or data entry, this role focuses heavily on the analytical and technical aspects of financial planning.
The ideal candidate is analytical, extremely detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career in wealth management.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop, review, and update comprehensive financial plans for individuals and families.
- Analyze clients' financial situations, including retirement savings, investments, income, expenses, insurance coverage, and estate planning needs.
- Use financial planning software to evaluate different financial strategies and scenarios.
- Identify opportunities to improve clients' financial plans, particularly in retirement, investment, tax, and estate planning.
- Review financial information to identify errors, inconsistencies, missing details, and potential planning opportunities.
- Research financial planning strategies and help advisors develop recommendations based on each client's goals.
- Ensure financial plans are accurate, thorough, and ready for presentation to clients.
- Work closely with Financial Advisors to deliver personalized financial planning solutions.
- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and supporting materials for client meetings.
- Participate in client meetings and financial planning discussions when appropriate.
- Help answer client questions and coordinate follow-up items related to their financial plans.
- Collaborate with advisors to identify additional planning opportunities and address client needs.
Team Collaboration & Operations
- Maintain accurate client information within financial planning software, CRM systems, and other internal platforms.
- Work with investment, insurance, and operations professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive financial planning support.
- Follow established procedures related to documentation, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
- Help identify opportunities to improve financial planning processes and overall efficiency.
