Job summary

RockBridge Search & Recruitment in Houston, TX seeks a seasoned Financial Planner to guide individuals, families, and business owners through retirement, investments, and estate planning. You will act as a trusted advisor, building lasting client relationships and delivering wealth strategies beyond numbers.

The ideal candidate holds a Finance-related degree, 5+ years in wealth management or private banking, and FINRA licenses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in finance or related field.
  • 5+ years in financial planning/wealth management/private banking/investment advisory.
  • FINRA licenses (Series 7, 66/65) and applicable insurance licenses.
  • Deep understanding of retirement planning, investments, estate planning, tax strategies, wealth preservation.
  • Proven ability to develop new business while nurturing client relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
  • High ethical standards and fiduciary care for clients.
  • Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated strategies clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to clients' goals and values.
  • Build and maintain relationships with affluent clients, families, executives, and business owners.
  • Analyze client financial situations including investments, retirement, insurance, taxes, cash flow, and estate planning.
  • Recommend customized wealth management strategies aligned with risk tolerance and goals.
  • Collaborate with Commercial/Private Bankers and Treasury teams to deliver holistic solutions.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and adjust recommendations as goals evolve.
  • Educate clients on financial concepts in clear, actionable terms.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline

What You'll Do
  • Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to each client's unique goals, values, and long-term objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with affluent individuals, families, executives, and business owners.
  • Analyze clients' financial situations, including investments, retirement assets, insurance, tax considerations, cash flow, and estate planning needs.
  • Recommend customized wealth management strategies that align with each client's risk tolerance and financial aspirations.
  • Partner closely with Commercial Bankers, Private Bankers, Treasury Management professionals, and Retail Banking teams to deliver holistic financial solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through investment management, retirement planning, trust services, and insurance strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory developments to provide timely guidance.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and adjust recommendations as clients' goals evolve.
  • Educate clients on financial concepts while simplifying complex investment topics into actionable strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with all banking policies, fiduciary responsibilities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the bank with professionalism, integrity, and a client-first mindset in every interaction.
  • Continue expanding your expertise through ongoing education and professional development.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, private banking, or investment advisory services.
  • Appropriate FINRA licenses (Series 7, 66/65, or equivalent) and applicable insurance licenses.
  • Deep understanding of retirement planning, investment management, estate planning concepts, tax-efficient strategies, and wealth preservation.
