Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Financial Operations Training Specialist to design and implement training for UGA Extension, county faculty and staff. You will help ensure accountability of state and local funds, supporting credibility with stakeholders, under CAES Business Office leadership.

The role reports to the CAES Business Office and may involve statewide travel to support county operations and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of professional accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of County Extension accounts statewide and provide audit reports.
• Train District and County staff on accounting policy and procedures; be the statewide contact for QuickBooks.
• Coordinate PCI compliance with CAES IT and Bursar/Treasury; develop training guides and templates.
• Maintain records and tax returns for County Extension Offices.
• Travel statewide to perform essential duties.
