Job summary

The Financial Operations Training Specialist at UGA CAES creates and implements training programs for UGA Extension, serving county-based faculty and staff. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent, and 5 years of professional experience.
• CPA experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of County Extension accounts statewide to ensure coherence with policy and procedures.
• Prepare accounting statements and audit reports; review county accounting systems’ policy and procedures.
• Coordinate PCI compliance efforts with IT and Bursar; develop guides and templates.
• Maintain records and oversee annual tax returns for County Extension Offices.
• Train District and County staff in proper accounting policy and procedures; act as statewide QuickBooks contact.
