The College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences is recruiting a Financial Operations Manager (FOM) for our Interdisciplinary Programs and Centers, including Global Studies, Labor Studies, Liberal Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, Latin American Studies, GLUCK, the Latino and Latin American Studies Research Center, Inland Empire Labor and Community Center, Center for Bibliographic Studies, and the Young Oak Kim Center.
This FOM will oversee and coordinate financial and administrative support functions for these units. Reporting to the Divisional Financial Officer, the role's primary responsibilities include managing daily operations such as financial management, human resources, academic support, contracts and grants, facilities management, and other operational matters.
The department's academic personnel include ladder rank faculty, Professors of Teaching, Visiting Professors, Researchers, Graduate Student Researchers, and Teaching Assistants. The programs offer undergraduate degrees or minors, with a total operating budget exceeding $5.5 million.
The FOM manages business functions, accountability, stewardship, publicity, and support activities to meet the goals of the programs and centers, aligning with the university's mission. The position requires significant organizational skills and the ability to set objectives, develop strategies, and collaborate with Program Chairs, Center Directors, and the Divisional Financial and Administrative Officer.
The full salary range for this position is $73,600 to $133,200 annually. Salary offers are based on education, licensure, experience, and organizational needs.
