Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance, Accounting & Analytics to help modernize and scale a growing finance organization.

This is a hands-on, analytical, change-agent role that combines core accounting experience such as US GAAP, audit compliance, etc., but also data driven FP&A, financial analytics, process improvement, systems transformation, KPI development, and decision support.

This is a key role at a business unit recently acquired by Private Equity; a business that is healthy and profitable, but also in need of transforming people, processes and systems to get to the next stage.

The Senior Manager will lead a team of five across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory, while partnering closely with the Corporate CFO and other business functions.

The role goes well beyond maintaining the accounting function. The successful candidate will help the organization understand what is happening in the business, why it is happening, and guide actions for leadership.

You will work with large financial and operational datasets, extract and structure information from multiple sources, develop meaningful KPIs, analyze trends and business drivers, strengthen controls and processes, and create financial visibility that supports better operational and strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working in an ERP system, building an Excel model, analyzing a large dataset, reviewing accounting controls, documenting a process, developing a KPI, and sitting with the CFO to explain what the numbers mean.
