Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Financial Navigator in Dialysis Administration to help uninsured, under-insured, and insured patients manage their financial obligations for past and current care. You will work independently to obtain accurate financial information, resolve obligations, and connect patients with available resources.

This role collaborates with clinics, hospital departments, and physicians to determine coverage options, protect patient privacy, and support families

Formación

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Two (2) years of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Ability to read, write, spell, and perform mathematical calculations accurately.

Role Overview

As a Financial Navigator, you will play a critical role in assisting uninsured, under-insured, and insured patients/guarantors with their financial obligations for prior and current care. You will work independently to ensure accurate financial information is obtained, resolve financial obligations, and connect patients with available resources. Your work will directly support patients, families, and healthcare providers in navigating complex financial situations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Ability to read, write, spell, and perform mathematical calculations accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree with coursework in mathematics, accounting, and computer science.
• Additional coursework in accounting, computers, financial counseling, and medical terminology.
