Job summary

The AES Group seeks a Financial Manager in the Point Mugu, CA area with 3+ years of financial management experience to provide analytical and project support. You will manage budgets, track performance, and support client leads with cost analyses and reporting.

Ideal candidates will have ERP and CSPT experience, proficiency with MS Office and MS Project, and the ability to travel up to 10 weeks. A BS/BA in a related field or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Auditing, or a relevant technical discipline.
• An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree, or 4 more years with an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Track project budgets, monitor execution schedules, and prepare cost/budget analysis reports.
• Utilize ERP, G-Invoicing, MIPRs, and Microsoft Project to support mission planning requirements.
• Budget analysis: gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data for domestic and foreign project budgets.
• Execute tracking: perform execution analysis, calculate burn rates, and identify variances.
• Reconcile funding, obligations, and expenditures using ERP and client tools.
• Prepare financial reports and briefing materials for client leads; monitor allocation plans across the fiscal year.
• Monitor schedules and cost baselines; analyze performance data for trends and deficiencies.
• Assist strategic planning with spend plans and long‑term funding strategies.
• Provide analytics and material preparation for planning meetings; ensure compliance with rules and policies.
• Travel about 10 weeks to various locations including San Diego, Norfolk, Pax River, Melbourne and international sites.
